  4. Do not tell anyone you meet on the internet information about your family.

  5. Inform an adult if anything strange or unusual happens or anything is said to you that makes you feel uncomfortable.

  6. Never divulge your password, even to your best friends.

  7. Try not to use a password similar to one you use for other sites or one you’ve used before.

  8. Change your password every 3 months.

  9. Do not give anyone access to your email and password.

  10. Never send your picture, credit card or bank details.

  11. Do not speak to anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable or worried.

  12. Always report offensive, abusive or harmful material to Kewordal and tell a parent/carer if you see such material.

  13. Do not pretend to be someone or something else; always be yourself.

  14. Always remember that people online may not be what they seem.

  15. If you receive a message that is rude or threatening, do not respond, instead, tell an adult.

  16. Do not open attachments or links which come from people or sources you do not know. They may contain viruses and damage your computer.

  17. If you find a link you think violates our policy or someone posts an offensive comment or images, please email us using our Contact Form, your message will be reviewed by our team, who will remove the offensive material if it violates any of our policies.

  1. Visit the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) to discover ways in which you can receive advice and help or how to report any sexual contact or indecent material.

  2. You can contact the Internet Watch Foundation (www.iwf.org.uk) if you find any material you believe to be illegal.
